The deadline comes long before the end date
The contract runs until 31 December, but the last day to give notice is 2 October. Anyone watching only the end date is three months too late.
Contract deadline tracking
Kalends finds the notice deadlines in your contracts and reminds the owner while there is still time to negotiate. During an absence a stand-in takes over, and every decision is kept with its date and evidence.

It is rarely carelessness.
The contract runs until 31 December, but the last day to give notice is 2 October. Anyone watching only the end date is three months too late.
The clause is on page eleven of a contract kept in a shared folder, a binder or somebody's inbox. Nobody opens it until it is too late.
The reminder sat in that person's calendar. Now they are on holiday, have changed role or have left, and nobody else knows the deadline exists.
How it works
Kalends keeps track of what the contract requires of you, not just the date.
Read the contract in
Kalends reads the contract, PDF or Word, and pulls out notice periods, renewals, end dates and index adjustments. Every finding comes with a verbatim quote and where it appears in the contract, and nothing is created until you have reviewed and confirmed.
Remind in time
Choose when the work should begin, such as 90 days before the deadline or on a fixed date like 1 October. A contract that should simply continue becomes a notice that reminds and then closes itself. A contract that must be terminated or renegotiated becomes a task that somebody has to sign off.
Owner and stand-in
A contract often outlasts an employment. So the watch point belongs to an area of the organisation, with a direct owner and a stand-in. When the owner is away, reminders and current work go to the stand-in, without moving long-term ownership.
Keep the decision
The owner signs off with a date, a note and a link to the evidence. The sign-off stays exactly as it was made, and skipping an occurrence takes a stated reason. The history follows the contract into the next contract period and to the next owner.
Overview
The same watch points appear in the list, calendar, timeline and year wheel. Filter by the Contracts area, an owner or a period, and save the view for next time.
Trust
Kalends keeps track of what the contract requires of you. The contract itself does not need to move.
Kalends is not a contract management system. The agreement and its versions stay where they are today, and the watch point links to them.
When Kalends reads a contract, it is sent to your organisation's own AI provider with your own key. Kalends never stores the file.
Every sign-off is kept exactly as it was made, with the time and the person, and nobody can change it afterwards.
Kalends is built in Sweden, and each organisation's data is kept apart from everyone else's at database level.
Common questions
Cannot find the answer?
No. The contract can stay where it is kept today. In Kalends you add the watch point and a link to the contract.
Yes. Upload the contract as a PDF or Word file and Kalends proposes notice windows, renewals, end dates and index adjustments, each with a verbatim quote. You review, choose the owner and confirm, and nothing is created automatically. The document is sent to your organisation's own AI provider and is not stored by Kalends.
A task goes overdue. Its owner and everyone named on it get a notification, and it stays overdue in lists and overviews until somebody signs it off or skips it. A notice, such as one for a contract that renews automatically, only reminds and never goes overdue.
Yes. Record the absence and reminders and current work go to the stand-in for that period. Long-term ownership stays where it was.
Yes. Mark the watch point as requiring approval and it counts as complete only once a second person has signed. That suits contracts where a termination or renewal is a decision with financial weight.
Every sign-off is stored with the time, the person, a note and a link to the evidence, and cannot be edited afterwards. Skipping an occurrence requires a stated reason. The history follows the contract to the next period and the next owner.
Yes. The list, calendar, timeline and year wheel show upcoming watch points for an area, an owner or a period, and you can save the view for next time.
